This book was given to me as a child (I am now 33) and it is by far one of my favorites. It resonated with me so much, it's one of the only children's books from my past I kept. I am saving it for my own children. I also buy it for all of my friend's children. I love that she's quirky (different) and how some people in her life (mostly the servants) show her that it's okay buy making use of her uniqueness (antlers). Even at a young age, my take away was that it's okay to be different, and even more, it's great to be different.

Was in PERFECT condition! Gave it to our grandniece for Christmas!
My daughter started telling me about a book called "A Bad Case of Stripes" and I immediately knew why the story was so familiar. Imogene is awesome, she just kind of goes with the flow, even though she woke up with antlers and her mother is fainting every time she sees them. Imogene's Antlers was one of my favorites as a child. My daughter gets a big kick out of it every time she reads it. My 8 year old was able to read this without a problem.
Loved this story as a child! Was very excited to purchase it for my own children. I was very disappointed however, in the condition of the book. If I remember correctly, it said used, good condition. Some of the pages were wrinkled and I can't even read the last few sentences of the last page due to water damage! I have to rely on my memory to finish the story when I read it to my kids. Again, great story but poor condition.
This is an older story from my own childhood. Truthfully, it may only be worthy of four stars, but nostalgia earns it a fifth. The art is whimsical as it is from long before digital art swept the children's literature scene and the story is playful and fun.
My 5-yr-old remembers this from her Pre-K class and requested for me to read it to her again. She loves it so much I went ahead and bought the kindle version (she is now in Kindergarten). We both love the silliness of this book and the ending gets us giggling every time. It is a very short book and it kept the
attention of 26 Pre-K students plus my daughter has talked about this book ever since I read it to her Pre-K class.
A witty story that is perfect for K-2 grade students.
A fun and whimsical type book about a girl who wakes up with antlers and has to adjust to her new headpiece, while her parents fret about what to do about them. Great, imaginative story for children, probably best suited for 3-5 year olds, though our 20mo also enjoys it!
